Why Bamboo Shield?

We prioritise sustainability in all our products. Bamboo is a renewable resource that grows rapidly and has remarkable tensile strength. It helps prevent sharp object penetration while offering natural anti-bacterial properties to keep the boots fresh.

Boot construction & durability

Our Bamboo Shield front boots feature a strong TPU shell with strategically placed ventilation holes and an enlarged mesh triangle for enhanced breathability. The bamboo shield insert in the tendon and knee areas ensures ultimate protection against impacts and penetration.

Where the horse flexes, a soft natural rubber insert reduces friction and provides extra comfort. The inner layer is reinforced with TPU to withstand high abrasion during intense training or competition.

Our in-house testing

We've developed a custom testing machine simulating forces of 80N on a horizontal horse leg using a razor-sharp axe. Our Bamboo Shield boots passed this extreme test, far exceeding real-world riding impacts. These boots are Rico test approved and RCT certified for maximum safety and protection.

Fabrics & materials

Made with our renowned 3D Spacer lining, also used in our turnout boots and rugs, these boots offer exceptional breathability and comfort. The TPU outer shell is lightweight yet robust, while the bamboo shield insert provides superior impact protection.

Shape & fit

Designed anatomically to follow the horse's leg, these boots provide a secure and comfortable fit while allowing full freedom of movement. The soft rubber insert below the joint enhances comfort during flexion.

Care instructions

Machine washable at 30°C (no tumble dryer). We recommend using a washing bag to avoid scratches. For best results, use our TPU boot cleaner to keep them looking like new.
