Why Bamboo Shield?

Bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world and offers exceptional tensile strength. It provides protection against sharp object penetration while also being naturally anti-bacterial, making it an ideal sustainable material for high-performance horse boots.

The boots feature a strong TPU shell with multiple ventilation holes and a large mesh panel for improved airflow. The tendon area is reinforced with a bamboo shield insert for superior protection. A soft natural rubber insert at the flexion point reduces friction and enhances comfort, while the inner TPU layer increases durability against abrasion.

We have developed an in-house testing machine applying a force of 80N with a sharp blade to simulate extreme impact. The Bamboo Shield boots successfully withstand this test, far exceeding real-world riding conditions. They are also Rico test approved and RCT certified.

Fabrics & materials

The Vegan Sheepskin Tendon Boots Bamboo Elastic are lined with our well-known breathable vegan sheepskin, used across our shipping halters, rugs, and girths. The outer shell is made from lightweight yet durable TPU, combined with a bamboo shield insert for maximum impact and penetration resistance.

Shape & size

The anatomically shaped design ensures a secure and comfortable fit around the horse’s leg while allowing full freedom of movement. The soft and flexible rubber insert below the joint improves comfort during movement.

Care instructions

Machine washable at 30°C (no tumble dryer). We recommend using a washing bag to avoid scratches. For best results, use our TPU boots cleaner to maintain a like-new finish.
